Not positive, but I'd try Harlan Lynse. I don't know if he does that particular bike. If you do end up finding decals, make sure you perforate the tank decals or else the seeping gas fumes will peel your decals in a year or less. Check dis sh!t out- http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/147784-250SX-tank-decals?p=1157191#post1157191

Thanks Bill,
Kind of stumbled across it, I've been looking for one for a long time and one shows up in the UK! I'll get it on Monday, it needs work cosmetically but I don't think it's ever had a spanner on it so should be complete.

Yes that IS a nice Tecate Nik ! You may also want to send a PM to Bruce on the boards here,,,, he also makes fine decals/emblems, very fine indeed. Highly recommendable.

You can get the Kawasaki decals on eBay, you need to measure them and figure out what length and height you need and do some looking. They used the same decals on many models if motorcycles. Possible they might even have common part numbers. You can make most of the rest yourself using 3M vinyl and then the small lettering stuff can be outsourced to anyone with a vinyl cutter. It's painstaking but can be done.

Love that Trike by the way. I would love to have one just like it. I preferred the earlier models looks when I was younger and they came out.

Nick I found this one (these have the black oval things behind the lettering - they used that in 1984 - I would tell them NO HOLES though since the factory did not have the holes).

To putt around on the Tecate just buy a tank and keep one with no gas in it with nice decals.

Here's a set without the black backgrounds...but that was '85 and this guy only has green:

On the backside you have a decal on the fender by the grab bar (it was solid black in '84):

Here are some warning decals. They don't mention the year...do you have anything like this on yours:

That 250 lettering from the test below looks pretty basic and could done by a shop.

Here is a test I remember as a kid October of 1983...freaking awesome red Tecate!

Hopefully the magazine test will show you some other decals (note this was the '84 Tecate not the '85):

If you click the images 2 times you see the scans are HUGE...some good details:

Here are some super clear shots of a darn super mint green '84 I saw on an online archive (this is probably one of the cleanest in existence) so it a great model for paint finish (satin or gloss on some parts) and that warning decal on the rear fender, etc:

I'm guessing you're suggesting this since it's a really nice example to be kept authentic. I would agree if that's the case, but I can't really tell what it is from that one pic. The decals will peel in a year if they aren't perforated though.

I am pretty sure they were not. He would probably have a 'show' tank w/decals and then a tank if he ever rode it:

For some odd reason this green '84 did not post. Some good decals and finish pictures here Nick (ex. where Satin was used versus gloss) etc.: Note the warning on the rear fender....207820207821207822207823207824207825
