View Full Version : 1985 honda atc 125m front sprocket interchange with a 1985 trx 125

i ordered the wrong sprocket one for a 1985 trx 125 not a atc 125. will they interchange, different, etc. i know my old one is 14 tooth the new one is 13 i have not tore into the bike yet. and the new sprocket is in the mail. thanks

It should fit, it will have a slightly different gearing ratio though

gearing ratio is no big deal. just needing to know if there compatible if not i need to order the proper one. it takes over a week to get to me buy mail. thanks for the info

No problem. Looking at a trx125 next to an atc125m there isn't much difference. 4 wheels and a plastic seat pan is about all the difference between the two.

it's in the sub tranny trx has totally different setup with reverse. and no hi-low range. i have had the to apart before but never messed with the sprocket

Your right totally forgot about the reverse on the trx. They were so much heavier than the 125m. The atc didn't need reverse because it was so much lighter. When I bought mine it was on all flats and after trying to roll it unsuccessfully I got pi$$ed picked it up and just threw it in the back of my trailer. Landed upright like a 3 legged cat. :beer
