300ex axle on a 350x

is the 300ex axle the same as the 350x? basically i am asking if i bought a 300ex axle could i swap it in and bolt up all my stock components?

I am told the axle will fit the 350x carrier. How ever the hub splines are different than the 350x. The 300ex axle is narrower also.

Going by what I am told here: If you use a 300ex axle you MUST use 300ex style hubs. As far as the rear sprocket goes I have not checked to see if they inner change.
