Namura pistons: Yay or Nay?

I'm typically a Wiseco guy, but I have a top end to do on a Polaris Trail Blazer 250. Stock piston ring broke, piston is toast, might get by with a hone job, cylinder isn't bad.

Looking for a quality piston a bit cheaper than Wiseco. I'm leaning towards a cast piston, kids ride this one and I can't count on them giving it a proper warm up when it's cold and I don't want to have to repair a cold seizure on my dime. Other suggestions are welcome. ;)

YAY!! I run one in my kids PW80 it was cheap and I was on a tight budget. It seemed like a bargain included the rings, pin & clips for like $30-40 bucks Weisco was over $100. Its a kids dirt bike... I took a gamble and have been very happy. Great fit and finish,

My kids couldn't be happier and my wallet appreciated it.

they are ok pistons. another brand you can check out is vortex (sp?) they also have some nice stuff for a good price.

Namura are great,I rebuilt MANY sled with them and NEVER had any problem.More close to stock than Wiseco.I rebuilt my CR500 last year and had OEM WISECO NAMURA in hand and check for weight,namura and oem are exactly the same weight to some grams close,wiseco was a lot heavier.I buy namura and vertex always before a wiseco

Ditto,,,Not that many lol. But yes,,, they are fine. Great pistons.

I've used many Namura cast piston without a single problem. Just make sure the clearance is right, otherwise no piston will work right.
Go for it.

The dumbasses that can't build and jet a banshee correctly, hate them.

I will be replacing the ones in my wifes banshee this spring.
They are only 12 years old.

i have never used namura,was going to buy a piston kit until i read all the reviews on other sites and decide to use shindy piston kits,also namura is made in Taiwan.

taiwan is not China. Taiwinese paerts are much better quality and rivle some of the Japanese stuff. so as logn as it is not china, your good.

Thanks guys! I already ordered a stock piston and rings, turns out the cylinder needs boring. I will keep Namura in the back of my mind for future builds tho. I did a google search and opinions seemed to be 50-50ish so I figgered I post here and see what the collective genius of 3WW had to offer.
