Maybe if they did something other than the yellow. I got a few OEM sets but if they put out some cool colors I wouldn't mind.

Should we e-mail DC plactics to show them our interest?

Interest and commitment are a whole different thing. They will make money off it no doubt, but it comes down to how long they wanna sit on their product. If they wanna do a run and want it gone before they do it then it won't happen.
A lot of ytm plastics I see are in bad shape. Fade, get that crusty stuff on it, etc. Whatever they used, the test of time did not hold up as well as others. Maybe it's just me.
Email them, get more info. Price, how much they do for a initial run, colors, anything more than what we have really. Which is nothing.

I second that ghostv2, we are just spinning our tires talking about. Any information that can be obtained would be a help. Once we get the numbers then we can get a gameplan. Regardless, we all know that Yamaha dropped the ball and produced an inferior product as far as the plastic is concerned. There is definitely a void that needs to be filled.

Send them an e-mail last night and they told me : «The fender is too large to fit our forming machines.»
Forget this guys.

Not a bad idea. Wife wants some the same color as a tecate! shame it can't happen.

I'm not familiar with what kind of products they put out but I'm pretty sure they are no bigger than any modern sport utility style quads.

Sounds like a BS excuse if I've ever heard one. Not like it's a rear quarter panel off of an '88 F-350

I wouldn't mind some fiberglass ones. I think they would be sick on a sport utility.

Especially on the dx's and yamahaulers. Would be perfect for that style of riding because you can repair fiberglass.

I'm poor at the moment otherwise I'd say call Micky.
Dc plastics has been contacted several times regarding numerous different trike fenders, especially the 250r low pro's. They do not have the capability to produce rear atv fenders. They are willing to make darn near anything that will fit in their machine. It's not a lack of "want", but more of a "can't" type thing.

then maybe we should talk to them about tank shrouds and front fenders at least, as those are even harder to obtain for the yamaha's

Why couldn't maier make them? Don't they do limited runs if they get a minimum order?

Maier may if they still have the molds. I know I sold a YTM200 that I believe had a maier rear fender so pretty sure they existed at one time. Don't know about the 225's though.

Or headlight shrouds. I have about 4 of them that have cracks and chips taken out.

Same here. Headlight guards would be great.
