Asphalt Trike Drag Racing

Anyone ever done this and have hard 1/8th and 1/4 mile times? Just curious. I've seen/heard a few things about stock liquid R's being good for a mid 13 in the 1/4 mile with little to no work (and comparatively a low-mid 8 in the 1/8th). Given the specs of the machines (and the fact I see stock dirt bikes asphalt race rather often), does this sound feasible?

No real reason why I want to know, just curious. I'm guessing a 200X would be up around the 30 second 1/4 mile mark. I have seen people run 70's down the tracks as well. Pretty funny.

sounds about right with the 250r, the x has no place on a drag strip, well it could do a 1/4 mile wheelie though!!

I agree none of them really have no place for a drag strip. My local strip is 1/8th (it's the closest) so that would be where anything would go if I ever could. Just curious about various models.

1/8 would be much better, other then rare/exotic or motor transplanted trikes a 3rd gen r is just about as fast as trikes came

My buddy runs his on both. Don't remember times. But it's a CR500 with a big bore and etc. he has a little over 100hp.

I see a lot of guys run stock or very mild Banshees and Raptors and Honda 700s that run ok. Kinda wanted to show them up someday lol

Typically between 7s for piped/big bore drag bikes to 9s if they are stock-ish. But I have seen them as slow as 10-12s. Matter of fact some of the 450 dirt bikes run 12s because they top out way too fast. There are actually guys that run stock 1000cc sleds on wheels that run 6s.

450F bikes running 12's in the 1/8????? Are you sure? I would bet a $1,000 I could run better that 10.00 in the 1/8 on my buddies 450 KTM. It tops out at over 90mph. I had a small cc drag bike that ran mid 6.30 in the 1/8 at only 104mph. Something is wrong with that # or the guys on those 450's

There are some that run 10s but most of the guys running them have no idea how to ride (ie they bounce off the limiter, bad shifts, slow shifting, wheelie launches etc). Trust me when I say those times are valid. Just makes me want to smoke them that much more :lol:
