So i can get the bolt about 1\4 out and just stops. I have used a punch and hammer and wont budge. Do i need to soak the hell out of it and beat it out of there? Any tips? I maybe need to save this bolt because either i need to have one made or find one someone has for sale.

soak it, try turning it while knocking it out. air hammer instead of hammer and punch maybe. heat may also help.
steel bolt in aluminium casing, dissimilar metal corrosion.

Soak it for a couple days. Then heat it and get a bigger hammer.... work it back and forth and eventually you will start getting farther and farther each time and it will pop out.

Pb blaster the best to use?
soak the hell out of it. work it back and forth. if it moves. it will come out! just try not to mushroom the end of it!

I personally use PB blaster. If you mushroom the end of it then its pretty much garbage and un usable... Ive had to use a grinder to grind down the mushroomed area so it would fit through the hole. If you use a punch that has a smaller diameter the the bolt then it won't mushroom nearly as easily.

Well i got the darn thing out but broke the tip of a punch off in the hole. The threads got a little messed up. I think running a die on them should clean them up. Bushings do not look too bad but what can be done to prevent this thing getting stuck again? Marine grease?

Should i replace the bearings and sleeves with an all balls kit since i have it apart? Seems new sleeves would make it easier to remove next time.

Yes. Also if you ride it a lot make it a standard to pull the swingarm bolt every winter or every other and grease the bearings and shaft.

Well i got bushings out and the bearings are shot. The bushings look toast too. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a kit with bearings, sleeves and bushings so i can get and order going here? thanks.
