Ok so I traded something for a CT70 with a ATC110 motor swap in it. Runs pretty good. So I want to make the lights work again for night time riding, he told me the wiring works just needs a bulb. So I got a bulb put it in its slot and tried it before putting it back together and it worked, put the whole light mechanism together, doesn't work, take it out and works, touch it against the frame doesn't work then works again wen its not touching the frame. (Light mechanism is made of metal, see pic.. might make more sence lol) So Im figuring I have a short somewheres and theres electrical current throughout the whole bike. Wen I take the ground wire of the light and tough it on the frame it sparked. Now, Started looking in the wiring and everything looks good really but I found there was another wire bolted with the ground wire of the coil. I thought that was my problem, took that random wire out and started it, bike fired right up, at that time I had my light mechanism together and it was touching the fork I noticed it was sparking light crazy so I shut it off and now I have no more spark to the plug....!!! What just happen!!

Could some one with more knowledge/experience then me tell me whats going on with this bike lol

Thanks and sorry for the long story :)

Heres a picture of that wire.. I was looking at the diagrams but can't figure it out!! What is it where does it go! The green one!

Its a ground terminal. And green is ground anyway. IT MIGHT be the one thats usually bolted to the frame at the coil? -with 1 of its mounting bolts

Which harness do you have?

I have the 110 harness.. an for a little update I bolted that green wire to the frame and I have spark again, fired right up.. but the light is still doing that weird thing, on wen Its not on the bike and off as soon as the light contacts with the bike.. Where would I check for this type of problem? Thanks!!

Hmmmm....Not sure?-pinched wire? look over the harness yet?... Or short in switch maybe?

Have you tried swapping the wires on the light?

swap the wires. It sounds like your voltage is running through the base of the bulb and grounding when you put it in the housing.

X2 on reverse polarity also check what the green wire is spliced in to lots of bikes use black as ground and greens for something else

well it all makes sense now, rookie mistake haha for some reason I thought white was the ground, swapped the wires, green for ground and it works now! thanks for the help!!

I did say green was ground...anyway, white is low beam , blue is high beam- so you know next time. (This is for the Hondas)
