Barn find 250r and 200x parts

I was doing a local search on kijiji and a ad shows up with no pictures for Honda Atc parts. I called the guy right away and he said he still had everything and it was sitting in a barn since the 80's when his brother used to ride. I told him I'd be over in a hour or two. I show up and talked alittle to find out these parts were directly behind my house about a quarter mile. Some parts are cracked but no sun fade on them. The parts were set out so I could get a good pic before I brought them in the house before wifey sees them. After all another part is just one added to the pile she won't see;)

I hear ya about the wifey thing. They don't understand. I hide stuff I get too. Almost kinda fun trying not to get caught. Like an old timer once told me, "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission".

Bring the mail in at night
Ditch any packaging and hide in tool box
Buy stuff on the way home from work (stuck in traffic)
I traded someone straight trade
Bring stuff in at night when she's sleeping
I found it or was given to me by someone

It's not a lie if she dosent ask about it :)

That 250R seat looks brand new and I see that 200X over fender, someone in the classifieds was looking for one.

Very nice find, I too have to hide stuff from my wife as she doesn't really like atc's. Its an addiction and I refuse to go to rehab!

The real fear would be her picking up each box and dropping it off at the curb or the goodwill. I almost dropped a brick in my pants when I got all these parts off this guy. His father had just scrapped the frame and forks before he posted the ad. It was long gone he said

Of course Dale. Everything is for sale. There is a crack On the right side. Riveted together but could be reworked nicely. Send me a pm. I will ship at buyers cost.

That sucks about the frames and forks, as many parts need to be saved as possible to keep these things alive.

I agree. Some people are still shocked to hear there still around. First question is do they still make them?

I will be posting parts up in the classified ads soon and start a new thread.
