The headlight assembly (shell, light, bulb) is shot. Besides finding an eBay replacement, where can I go for an aftermarket one that will work well?
Also, how many watts would be allowable given the 200X's stator capacities (whatever they are)? Would a 55 watt 12v assembly work?
TIA,

Dennis Kirk has an aftermarket one for around $30-40 made by Parts Unlimited.

I have a headlight and guard off an early 250R (single light mounted to the guard) on my 83 200x, and it bolted up perfectly to my tripple clamps.
FYI, unless the manufacturer for Parts Unlimited has changed their batch recipe for the red plastic, it tends to fade fairly rapidly. I bought one of their replacement light assemblies for my 83 185s, and it faded to pink in a little over a year even with it being stored indoors.
