85 Tri-z Clutch Cable Hold down

Is this the actual hold down or is it something somebody just rigged up for the clutch cable hold down on the 85 Tri-z

thats a homemade, there should be a spring clip , look it up on a parts diagram.

Somewhere a small block chevy is missing a starter shim..I saw a missing ad posted in a local parts store..

Mosh you are totally right. I kept wondering what that little tab on the end was? That is where u hold it to slide it between starter and engine block OMG that is hilarious. This poor z was in bad shape I will order the proper clip On a good note when in a pinch you can fab up the fork end of a automotive starter shim to hold your clutch cable lol
