Does anyone have a 400ex carb on their 350x?

Does anyone have one? I found a good deal on a practically new one and figured the accelerator pump may boost performance a little bit. Any input???

I have seen a couple of people on this site, say that they have used a 400ex carb, and that it is an improvement, I dont know if you have to change the jetting though.

i think "85 350X" has that carb.

I hope you try it I have also thought that the accelecator pump would work good on the X if you do it please post the results. Good luck

i've run the 400ex carb on both of my 350x's. it helped alittle, but you need a new intake boot and the 400ex cable

You have to have both the boot and cable from a 400ex?

You have to have both the boot and cable from a 400ex? i know that i needed a 400ex cable, the boot i have straight on air filter, but iam sure the 400ex boot will fit. iam sure you could rig something up with a clean radiator hose off some old tractor/big truck
