Does anyone know where to score affordable headlights for say 250sx, 250R, and tri-Z machines. They are discontinued and when they are on ebay they go for lots of coin. considering some of my broken ones say stanley on them one would think they would be easier to obtain for under $150 a piece

whoa.
My local shop says to use H4 halogen automotive bulbs. a little hotter but they wont melt the housing.
Oh wait, you need the whole headlight assembly?
I'd just get some trick driving light from a garage sale for a buck to use and then keep eyes open for a good deal.

Fot the TRI Z, I am pretty sure you can still buy Kawasaki Buyou Headlights OEM. I have seen a member use them and state they fit the tri Z shroud great. This was my plan when I got to the headlights. The light sockets are different so you would still need your Z sockets and wiring. They are not that cheap ($50) still but way cheaper than NOS lenses on ebay. As for cheap repalcments I am really not sure but would love to find something.

I am pretty sure the Buyou headlights are discussed in the Tri Z parts interchange thread http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/16277-parts-that-inter-change-with-TRI-Z-250?highlight=triz+parts+interchange

Here is a link to the buyou headlights http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Kawasaki/ATV/2002/KLF220-A15+Bayou+220/HEADLIGHT%28S%29/parts.html
