watch out Chrome is very addicting
Chrome header pipes look good so does the caliper bracket and the tail light bracket. I also did my footpegs, brackets, and bolts. It looks great but, 1 time I bent a foot peg, so then I had too buy a new one and send it out to be chromed to match,, major pain in the butt

It's getting harder everyday to find someone that does any chroming in the USA. The EPA shut down most chroming plants a few years back and almost all the custom wheels( about 90%) we sell come from China. Most of the wheels are cast in the United States and sent overseas to be chromed. Dont get me wrong Chromers are out there, they are just fewer of them every year because of the EPA.

Here is a pic that I posted a few days ago and in case you missed it. but look close at some of the small stuff thats chrome like the rear seat release lever and spring, complete foot pegs, all the support brackets under the rear plactic, the shock resivour clamps, just about every nut and bolt, and alot more you cant see, I even had the 4 clamps that hold down the air box lid done,(that actually looks pretty cool) but a little advise if you chrome your kicker and shift lever,, DO NOT chrome the bolts that go through them to tighten them down, Just order some brand new ones from the factory,, they will be new and shinny and they will look fine. The last thing you want to do is break one of those 2 off. remember chrome weakens things and makes them more brittle, so any bolts that are in high strength areas, Don't chrome

how durable are the chromed parts??

The smaller the part the more it is affected, Lagre or thick parts are not affected at all, I broke alot of bolts in the process of reassembly, I got real good at drilling and tapping

So you drive to Mexico from California? I am guessing you send them off, because that is a long way to drive for some chromed parts.I have never even rode that far.I don't think my ass would forgive me  lol
