New to site, I would not let myself join or even lurk as I knew it would lead to me getting a trike. My first was/is a 1984 ATC 70 that I received for Christmas at 2.5 years old. My dad put a throttle stop on and would put in 1st gear while I tootled around the yard. Growing up a child of the 80's my dad worked at the local Honda Dealership, and we lived next door for a while. I would go over most days and dust all the bikes in the showroom, and fell in love the with the sport ATC's. The owners did not have grandchildren at the time, so I became a surrogate 1st grandchild, hence the ATC at early age. I still have the 70, bone stock except lights that my dad added when new and a plastic tank that unfortunately replaced the rusted through steel one. Tires and everything else are original. I pulled it out of the shed after sitting for the last twelve years, checked for spark-it was there, added gas, and three pulls later she fired to life....Gotta love Honda's
Last night I bought what was supposed to be a 1985 ATC200, but at this point looks to be a suspended 1981 ATC185s, so I guess I'm here to stay and maybe gleam some help while I try to complete the restoration of this bike.
Thanks for the future help and insight,
Josh
