Dual rear wheels

Has anyone ever put dual rear wheels on a 3 wheeler? I want to do it on my 225dx.

I've seen a 350x on craigslist with at least 6 wheels all bolted together. It looked pretty good like it was a kit, the listing said the machine was set up for pulling. I made a post in the eBay section titled 350XXX.

There's a dude on Facebook the runs 4 Hauler's across the rear of his 350X. And I have some 3x100 and 4x110 dually adapters shoved away for when I wanna make a fancy picture someday. They are in Mississippi or if get you a shot of them,, they are really simple to make though.

Oh and if you go to the "ATC 4 Me" thread there's a 250R flat tracker with dually kart wheels too

I have a 200s with wooly booger dualies on the back. Someone used to sell a kit back in the day that allowed you to do it.

Well, it's a 4 wheel drive 3 wheeler. Good for mud and going in a straight line I guess? Pulling too.

Well that comes down to weight. Get some nice 2-ply tires like the duro knobbies, or oem ones. Try to shed as much weight as possible off the bike.

My guess to actually float, you'll need something on the front. I know when you float them down a creek or something you kinda just sit back and ride a wheelie the whole way. The front end floats. But to stay on top you'll need some sort of bladder or barrels on the sides of the forks. Or a small barrel on the front rack (if you get one).

On a serious note you'd need the same amount of buoyancy at both ends and a means to balance it like Ghost mentioned. As a kid I used a rad hose off the air box and a 90 degree bent pipe on the exhaust pipe to try and cross the local creek when it was highest. My mods got me a lot further in, but prolonged flotation never happened, it would always tip to the side and end up with the tires pointed up. Maybe with half the amount of air in the rears and lots in the front you could have a chance.

i put outriggers on my ytm200s rack that folded out and fit under the motor, they had boat bumpers on the sides, it had dual rear wheels and 2 boat bumpers on the forks, i used it to float the creeks and yes it tipped over still every once in a while.
the easiest way i found to float my trike was ride in a drysuit, get off the trike hold the front fork and swim it across what ever i wanted, that worked good

So what benefits does that give you? Stability from the added stance? It seems you don't want more traction, but what do I know I don't race.
