I bought a speedo off eBay for my 250sx. Looks like it's missing some wires and a broken nob. Anyone know what parts or who might be able to help? Came with a bracket and not sure for what machine. Any info would be great198439198440198441

Troy, the Mrs. makes those knobs. I will post up some pictures in a bit, on wrong computer now (no pictures of them on here).
I think she likes to get about 12 dollars shipped stateside.
Your missing wire is the lighting wire. Darn near any Honda motorcycle speedo/tach lighting works. Just a simple push in piece of rubber with bulb in it. I should have picture of that too.
Now for the bad news, not a stinking clue what that bracket fits. Not sure if the ones we have available will work on SX or not ???
Yep, I will post pics of those too :)

Sweetness thanks John. Put me down for that nob. I will pay extra to have it shipped to me. Lighting good to know it's only a push pin style and I don't have to tear that bad boy apart. And for the bracket I have one on order from a kit off eBay with drive gear.

The head I bought on eBay was listed as a trx speedo but clearly it's a ATC model.

Thanks for all the info John

Here you go,,, http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/169191-Pictures-for-Troy?p=1324959#post1324959

In this Hondaline tach picture is the same push in rubber bulb holder you will need.
Well I thought I had a better shot of the light bulb holder,,, it is the green + brown wire.

Excellent thanks for the quick pic.

I will search eBay for one. When you say most Hondas will fit. What should be a easy fit the cb nighthawk models? Or just any two wire green and brown?

I feel safe in recommending this for your lighting need

Ok I'm lost know. The pic I opened up on eBay showed a three wire with two bulbs. The speedo I have only takes one bulb from what I see. Just need to find the correct size that you insert into the speedo.

Is the bulb a two pin twist style?

I believe you will just use the larger angled one Troy. You will need to separate the 2 bulb/wires is all.

PitBilly, you wire in sequence with the lighting wires. Either via a factory jumper harness or simply make your own.

After a long wait I finally found a speedo drive gear and kit. Anyone have a set of instructions? I just want to see where things go and what it looks like installed on a 250sx. I will have to straighten out the bracket.
Thanks

If I can find my damn book that has all my instructions for the speedo kits I will take a pic and post it here.

My wife cleaned house and my "book" had NOS instruction sheets that came with all my Big Red accessories and a shop manual. Im pissed
