Okay you crafty folks, lets talk about shock and awe...

I feel like I have to make the title of my threads catchy so you guys look just out of curiosity to find out what the hell I'm asking lol. Now, I'm rebuilding an 87 250SX, and the rear shock has seen better days. When ya'll have rebuilt these machines what shocks do you use? Are there any shocks off fourwheelers of the era that will fit?

Yeah I read that, and unfortunately it didn't answer my question straight out. Or really what I gathered is that there isn't a straight bolt on shock replacement for the SX.

I've heard rumors that the Honda 300 has compatible shocks, but you guys know more than I do on the subject so.... any opinions there?

Well, since your talking about shock n' awe, why don't you go find a live artillery shell, rig a bottom mount with a firing pin, set primer cap on that and make the shell head bolt into the top mount?

Would a earlier SX shock not work?

Well, there's an idea..... not the best but if all else fails.. lol

I'm sure the earlier shocks would fit, but I would think after over 27 years those shocks probably arent any good either.
