I am looking for a set for my '87 Big Red. Anyone have any leads on any that are less than a left nut and kidney

I have three original wheels 'n tires in great shape I planned on installing on an '85 Big Red I have.
Would sell them if I were offered enough to buy an aftermarket set of new aluminum wheels 'n tires, which I would rather have.

I think the three wheels 'n tires I want would come to around $420, so would happily sell my tires 'n rims for that much.
Plus shipping, of course.
If interested I can send pix.
Rims in great shape, paint in great shape, tires good and not dry rotted.

Some guy here recently posted three original wheels 'n tires for $1600!
Seemed a little high....

Why ain't somebody replicating them? Nothing looks quite like the original style...

Dman, I'm with you. I feel that this is one tire that would be big seller for sure if it was brought back, if only for a limited run. They were used on some 4 wheelers too so it wouldn't be just us Big Red guys that would buy them. Personally, I would throw down for a few sets for both my big reds. I have a couple sets stashed away (as I know a few do lol) but I'm running on weathered tires just so I don't break the good ones out yet. And no other tire looks as good for a stock big red set up. Nor do they ride as well. The pro ams may have their draw backs on endurance and whatnot, but for just pure riding pleasure nothing beats them, IMO. My 86 rears are now tubed and my 85s (date coded 84 tires) are a little cracked but still have good tread (not to mention, they still have the red lines :) )

Maybe a giant riot? lol. I have one on the front of my BR, probably 50% and still has a green paint line.

They quit making them once in 2006 and then came back in around 2008 and produced them again. Stopped again in 2012 or so..maybe we will see them again? I dont know. Sure seems like the demand is high enough.

There's some things in life that I go nuts over and get very excited when I see them....NOS pro ams are definitely one of them. Hell, even very nice pro ams make me giddy lol. Haven't seen a NOS worklight yet...that would probably make me scramble for the checkbook pretty quick too lol....

I just remembered there was a really nice set of three barely used 501s on CL near Shreveport. I think they may have just gotten sold though, I just tried looking for them. They were on there forever. $325. Still had titties.

I just bought a beat '83 atc200 last week for $100 because it had that tire on it with the titties still on it! Now what to do with the rest of the bike? Lol
