I will tell ya, this is the happiest I've been in 2+ weeks,
I'm finally stepping it up from 200s to 250s,
With the purchase of a 1985 250ES, I'm going tomorrow to get it, IT EVEN HAS THE SIDE COVERS!!! AND ORIGINAL FRONT TIRE!
The owner is moving into a smaller place and won't have room for it, and the only other interested buyer is even farther north than me, and won't be able to make it till this weekend, So he said if you come get it tomorrow, I'll give you a better deal than the original 800, It needs a new starter sylinoid, one fender is cracked, and the tank has one little patch. He even has a new sylinoid for it.:Bounce
VERY, VERY, VERY EXCITED!!!

Hel! 800 was a deal to begin with! in my opinion anyway. A Big Red not beat to dirt, that has both side panels, both rear rack knobs, runs with no abnormal noses or smoke, an unmolested front rack, working/intact headlamp, and the original front tire!?! You could sell all those items and about make your 800 back in it. lol

Your life will be much richer with this machine in it > I guarantee it. Hands down. Best 3 wheeler ever produced. IMHO. Charge battery, jump across solenoid. My money says it still won't start. Bad Starter, not solenoid :). I've only ever replaced One solenoid on a Big Red in all these years. Enjoy ! I know you will !

Got it home about 11 last night,
I'm the 3rd owner, the last had it for about 4 months, but don't have room any more, machine has a new battery, original title, original manual, and original tool kit
The starter is good, jumped it there, but gas tank is rust free for the most part but has some holes, so I took it somewhere to be brazed.

Hopefully get the tank back tomorrow, paint the brazed area, throw a spare solenoid on it from a old trax250, do a little cleaning, a little painting, and have a nice looking machine. I also found that the extension wire for the headlight still has the factory zip tie on it.
I'm the 3rd owner, The original owner bought 2 at the same time for hunting, 1 for him, one for his wife, They also came out of Mississippi, but the po's buddy bought the mans, that was beat to hell, and the original owner said he had that one, that had been sitting under a bunch of his kids stuff for the past 7 years, the po got it running, rode it, got transfered to a 1 acre lot in houston Texas, hence no room to ride it. And I took it home for 700.
All the lights work too, rides nice. really nice.

And another might be coming soon, in far better shape... It really does go down hill from the start...

There's a huge ATV park in Marble Falls called Hidden Falls ATV park and they allow 3-wheelers there. A buddy of mine and I go there all the time with our 3-wheelers. They have over 200 total miles of trail there to ride. You should check them out sometime. I live in Austin and it's about an hour drive out to the park and we usually ride for the day. You can also camp there as well and they're very family-friendly. Would be cool to see other 3-wheelers out there. Everyone seems so excited to see the 3-wheelers there and always come up to check them out.

I just keep falling in love with my Big Red more and more.
It was put to use today.
It hauled tires, t-posts, a old washing machine, and even towed my Ranger. Kinda-ish, my buddy had to push.
Now the battery seems to be dead.

Also, I like the look of the hondaline rear mudflaps, Has anybody made their own? If so, out of what? And how?
