200x w/250r forks? and swingarm pivot bearings?

I bought a little 85 200x that the forks are bent bad on. I have a 85 250r triple tree and forks. What else needs to be changed to get the R stuff to work on the 200x? Let me know any help would be appreciated. Oh one more question on the swingarm pivot bearings. Are they the same as 300ex and most other Hondas. If not what set do I need and where can I get them?

The 85 250R triple trees use tapered bearings and the 83-85 200x use indivual loose ball bearings. You would need to change bearing races and probably machine the 200x neck to accept the tapered races. Also if you look at the stops on the frames you will need to do some cutting and welding there too. I don't have either of them handy right now, but I would suggest measuring the necks of both frames first, it seems like the 250R neck is longer than the 200x. I'll check the measurments on that later on today. The 85 250R forks are much longer than the 200x forks, once you did the mods to put the front end on it would sit high in front unless you found a way to slide the upper tubes far enough up the triples and clear the bars. You would have better luck locating a set of 200x forks or maybe modifying a set of 83-84 250R triples to accept the 200x bearings and using that front end. As for the swing arm pivot bearings I believe they are the same as the 250x/350X and the 85-86 250R. Check part numbers at partsfish or service Honda to be sure. You can order them from any Honda dealer, you can probably get them from a local industrial supply/bearing supply house or ebay.

DUHH, that is why it is in the Trikesylvania category. I am not wanting to buy or sell anything, just looking for some assistance as to what works and what size do I need. You post wasn't very helpful, and didn't help answer any of my questions! You just wasted a post, so please anyone that can assist me further, thanks in advance!

the 250r front end would be a bad choice. what is bent on yours? used parts are pretty cheap for them. PM me if you stick with a 200x front end, i have a spare 8)
