Custom Rob Selvy TT/Short Track rear shock and a set of low pro's. Rob will be getting the forks and then will be doing an oem top end for me. I need to get a shorter swingarm, it's got major traction issues with the longer swingarm.

Yes sir. I'm going to swap it out for a stock length swingarm.
Here it is at the track last night.

it's got major traction issues with the longer swingarm. Too much, or not enough?
Not enough. With it lowered it extends the rear out even further and there is no weight over the rear tires so it just spins it's asse off coming out of the corners. I want to get the rear tires under my butt a little more.

Man thats a great looking bike...makes me miss riding flat track and TT down here...
Bkm, have you thought about getting some softer tires or playing with the air pressure?
Definitely looking at a softer tire. I ride way up on the tank so it need to get the tires closer, and play with compound.

I really liked the American Racer "Cage Cart" tires they called them, 16in high in SD44 compound, SD23 is wickedly soft and if the track blue grooves at all they will be burnt in a weekend.
I also see a few guys run the 18x6x10 quad front tires, on the back of trikes always when I flat tracked down here. That worked surprisingly well actually.

Whatever you do , don't buy the fullsize quad rear tires, the trike will have a hell of a time breaking them loose and it'll be miserable on the track.
Thanks Billy. I think I'm going to go with a set of 16 in. cross block Hoosiers. The track is very loose and doesn't blue groove unless we've had no ran for three months. I also want to try a set of mower tires like Jackie used at Ashtabula.

Ok, so my next question is have you considered lowering the forks (raise the front) a bit to set your weight back a little? Just asking, I don’t know anything about your set up, don’t want to be the guy that “suggested” you into a high-side:(.

For what he needs. That swingarm is the last thing in the world he needs :) Stock,,or a -1 would be the hot set ,assuming from the set up. Then play with tires and gearing.

These are 18x8-10 american racers. They worked pretty good out there but I think your tires will work once you get it shortened up.

I would put the stock swingarm on try it out first. Put that Westcoast away because you may regret it later on.

Very nice If it was me I would use the 16 hoosier cross blocks lots of compounds . If the dirt is really loose you will probably still have to groove the center of the cross block out for cleaning . The rubber makes you go forward the tread pattern is for cleaning . If the tires are wearing than there working If they start peeling than there to soft . If its right it will be a handful but fast that is if you can still slide it around the corners. The key is getting the right compound .I would try the tires before you take the swing arm off you might get it to work. If you groove them go straight across the cross blocks side to side you want to clean going straight forward like the ohtsus that are on yours now they had the right idea but they used trail pro rubber.
Yeagerb runs the cross blocks and liked them very much on this track.

I take back what I said in the post above .I was thinking about all those vertical grooves on those cross blocks they might not work very well on a three wheeler . I have never used them except on 600 mini sprint cars where the idea is not to slide sideways .
