View Full Version : 86 350x crashed, now steers crooked help
My brother was down at st joe state park and flipped my 86 350x on some whoop d whoops. he is ok except for a broken collar bone, that sucks. bike didn't fare to well either got the handlebar straightened up but now when riding down the road when riding straight handlebars are off center. any suggestions on adjustments to fix this or would one think that frame, tubes, or triple tree bent?

Loosen off your tripples a bit and front axle clamp try to straighten out the wheel. Usualy works. Alot of the time you will hear it pop back straight as your loosening

U said your handle bars are off center......may also try a different set that is straight, maybe just the bars are out of whack

I always loosen the upper clamp stem nut as well.
Just have to relax it all and then back and forth with each bolt/nut etc a few times. Stems bend too......

Good point. There's a lot to properly aligning forks and axles, especially the inverts. Amazing what 1/16" of misalignment does to the action, not to mention the added wear.

You may have a bent fork(s).

Ditto what fabs said they bend right below bottom triple...drop the fork and feel for a kink.
