How much oil is in the transmission? And what type of oil do I use.

For the oil in the transmission, I use 10w-30. You should take your oil plug out (on the right side of the trike, it is a big bolt that sticks up ), then you take the check plug out (on the bottom right hand side, by the big bolt). Pour oil in the fill plug hole until it runs out of the check plug hole.

yea u say your trike is a 175....she aint she 125, 175 has shocks on the front forks and a front brake hub., my buddy had one and he blew the spark plug out of the head, and he melted the piston, now she is ust lying out behind his house

I know my trike is a 125. That is why my signature says 1985 Yamaha Tri-Moto 125. I like the trike alot and it is a blast to ride. And anyway the oil in the transmission is put in the same whether it is a 125 or 175.
