Very cool! Didn't know Deere made trikes...but not terribly surprised, they dabbled in snowmobiles back in the day as well.

It was sold by my local John Deere, but it is a customized 1983 klt 200a. has nerf bars and a rear rack that I haven't put back on it yet. was a duckster when my John Deere implement bought and modified it.

Never seen one of those before! Almost looks like a KLT. Interesting machine!

When I clicked I was expecting an AMT 5 wheeler, that's a nice klt.

So were these sold regularly? Or just something your local dealership converted one (or a handful) of?

nope just the one that I was told it was for the local golf course back in the 80's. this one was a pain for me as it was well beaten by one of the previous owners. the shifter was half ass repaired with some angle iron that I modified so it will up shift with out rubbing, and they broke part of the shifter shaft which runs the shift pawl. I had to replace the shifter shaft as the repair they had done to it wouldn't allow down shifting at all. Came with a new rear end as the original was stripped internally, the new one has the differential lock on the hub as the original was the type where you lifted the flap and locked it. I also had to open the keyed ignition and clean the connections as they were very corroded. Also had to buy a new fuel pump as the old had frozen up beyond repair. I am making a new seat cover tonight and will install it then the rest of the parts and take new pics tomorrow for you guys. I started on this about 3 months ago and finally figured everything out and got the last of the parts today. after adjusting the clutch cable took her for a spin and she ripped up and down the street. Sad truth is this is going up for sale in a couple of days here locally. But I will triple my investment on it. As people love to buy restored trikes up here and they know I usually have them.

Here's the finished pics, I refuse to put the home made rear rack back on as they spaced the fenders and everything else way off of the frame to make it fit. all that is left for me it to tape up the control wires and clip them to the handle bars and she's ready for a new owner. 194793194794194795194796 Only two actual things missing one is the shifter / front sprocket cover and the other is the battery clamp. Also for others who need to replacy their rear mud flaps ytm 225 flaps are almost a direct fit and look pretty good on there I think.

I so wish I could have made it to trike fest. I have made that a goal of mine, and no I actually sold her for 1200$ two days after I posted those pics. People buy my atv's up quick as they know when I am done they have a great running machine. So far this year I have spent and invested in repairs, and atv's, 795$. And brought back in 3,150$ for a 2355$ profit this year not counting the ytm 200k/225dx frame conversion That I invested way more and got a generator and a 500$ compound bow and 250$ cash for this last December. here's pics of it 2 days before I sold it.
