I always use Champion plugs, I find they resist fouling better, and when they do foul, you can clean them and get a bit more life out of them.

I think my lawnmower came with a Champion plug, but aside from that I can’t think of any device I have that I dislike enough to put one in.

I have personally witnessed three occasions (not my car) where a champion plug was attempted to be removed from an aluminum head and the hex portion that engages the socket snaps off and leaves the threaded portion in the head. So, in your hand is an insulator and half of the spark plug, and in the head is a threaded sleeve with absolutely no easy way to get it out.

I DO NOT run Champions anymore (and I run a small dab of anti-sieze on my NGK's too!)

Stick with NGK. Want better quality and so many more options. From iridium to copper and then to different racing styles.

This is from an automotive background, but whatever the engine came with FACTORY is what you put back into it. Now if Honda's service manual says you can run Champions, then do it if you want, but personally I stick to NGK or Denso for Jap built engines.

you guys have to understand back in the day NGK was hard to find or get and so Champion was the most abundant. Thus Honda made the US manuals to say use Champion and used those as well only because of current supply at the time. Fast forward 30 years and you will never ever see a factory new Japanese machine running champion from the factory. NGKs are now plentiful and even more abundant than champion stuff. Role reversal for sure. the good thing is they are so much better quality too!
