Finally threw on an old tank and rear fender and took it for a test ride.
A little rich but what a rocket. Should maybe think about brakes on this one.194246194247

The most important part is the custom "lay down" cases.

What did those cases start as? My guess would be a 200 with a ton of welding and machining? That also looks like the cam cover from a late 125M/trx125.

Its a complete CRF230 with a high comp piston, port work, BBR cam and springs, 32mm carb, Bassani exhaust and a 5 speed wide ratio gearbox and lots of welding and machining.

why use such a small motor? lol. i imagine that thing is squirrely in high gear.

Because small motors are cheaper to replace if something goes tits up with it. Plus, Mart already built a 300cc fooler powered 70 so how much bigger do you want?
ALSO, Yea a bigger motor may push more power but seriously, how much balls do you want a 70 to have?!

sarcasm cj, anything bigger than a 70 in a 70 is probably more fun. congrats on the build green human, try to stay on top of it.

I'm going to make a riding video if the weather here holds out on the weekend.

Oh ok I didn't catch the sarcasm in the first part lol I read it as a negative implication against the crf230 engine itself. My bad my friend!!

BAD trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro!
That thing is awesome. Green human you are the innovator when it comes to that type of engine. You took an idea and turned it into a reality.
