Thanx for the compliments. Thats a 69 Camaro with a 572 BBC under the hood. The painter is finally back from a 6 month hiatus in Arizona for the winter, so he should be startin to finish the paint,,,straight black.

Allot of stuff like screwed up beyond repair tank, bent forks, broken plastics etc. Anything that was rebuildable was salvaged, but most had to be replaced...either broken or not rebuild-able.

Well guys yes money is short. This trike was built over months...bit at a time. The shop and car are what was created out of an insurance claim from my last garage and 72 Camaro rs, that burnt to the ground. And yes I do have allot of time on my hands due to being on permanent dissability. The large tires are part of that.
Heres where the car stands.

Whites, grays and blacks are shades, not colours...

And on another note, I got a chance to look at the build on a much larger screen.
That thing really looks good, mean and ready to hit the track!

One day... One day I will get one.

A few thousand dollars in a few months is really nice budget.Especially when you didn't have a few hundred to spend before.Plus having a bad back and riding a trike isn't a good idea. That is your dissability and why you can't work?

lol my trikes don't seem to run to well on GAS they prefer PETROL and it's getting pretty hard to find GAS stations in aus these days hahaha :)

If you are going to unnecessarily rag on someone for any unapparent reason, could you do us a favor and put spaces between the sentences so we can read the b.s. easier.

Thanks, and have a nice day. :)

What's up with those rear tires on the back though? Isnt that where rear tires go,,, on the back?

Kind of huge. I agree

350xorbust, that trike is so cool, i love the shades/colors/colours, very good project design skills you have there. I just cant love those rear tires though......have you considered some 20's on that? ebay has these tires called shredders that are only 100 bucks a pair, they look quite a bit like holeshots!

Just a suggestion, you might have chosen those tires for another reason:beer

350xorbust
05-08-2014, 02:21 PM
Well I chose those tires for two reasons actually. 1)they were free...free is good (and they were actually in really good shape, and for the amount they will be driven, they will last forever...and 2)jays375 was right about one thing, with my back being bad, I wanted to put 27" tires on and run them as low pressure as possible to give me the softest ride possible, but I only had to buy one front tire so I went with the 25" that I had.
See what allot of people dont realize too is that up here we ride in the Canadian shield...no sand...anywhere, and your either on rock, or in swamp, and believe it or not, the bigger the tires the better for ground clearance. I geared this x down as much as I could...12/43 to help compensate, and with the cobra /YZF450 muffler (which sounds sweet by the way), and with the K&N filter, it seems to haul my big a*s around great.
By the way thanx for the kind words...I did put allot of time and effort, to make this bike one of a kind, but it seems you cant keep everyone happy. He has been raggin on me for months now on a few forums and I just ignore him. Not my fault if hes jealous...lol

jays375
05-08-2014, 09:17 PM
Jealous? Not even close.I quit keeping track what the total is on my 350X build. The carb that just came was $500.Not much of the original trike is.Everything has been replaced, rebuilt and upgraded. It's been a two year project in the making. It is almost finished. Not just a quick paint and polish project.A lot of people here have given me a ton of info.It has all been put to good use.Not just blown off until I got the answers I wanted.Surprised nobody else here remembers how you acted. You definately stirred up a lot of trouble.

There were definitely some controversial threads involving this bikes build and if people think we dont remember, they are mistaken.

The thing is, it old news. Xorbust didnt take off, he's here, he's over it, his bike is gorgeous. Coming back and sharing the build was a CLASSY move.

Lets celebrate some fortitude and move on, EH:D

Thank you "DOH" for you kind words. The events of the past , as far as I am concerned, have been dealt with, I contacted several members on my own and have settled these disputes months ago, and just wish to continue sharing the love I have for these bikes, with everyone on this site without prejudice.

Good job! Looks great. I am tempted on ordering the silver plastic if I come across it. I will have to hide my X at my friends though, if all of a sudden it is silver. I know even a small purchase right now would stir up the wife to the point of a major meltdown. (lol) But then again she seems to get over these things after a little while.

So you're the one who bought those fenders off ebay! Lol! I had been keeping an eye on them for a couple mounts, debating on getting them for my X. My dilemma was that I have a 250R front end, and the front fender wouldn't work without modifying it. Wish I had though. Seeing how sick your bike looks makes me want to get the silver fenders all the more now!!! That silver on my red frame would look sharp, I think. Looks really good, bud!

350xorbust
05-10-2014, 09:14 PM
Ya well the way I look at the silver was that it really imho, didnt match any of the red, white or blue, so I knew if I was to buy it, I would have to rethink my whole color scheme. I wanted all black, but seen one on the net, and thought it was too much. The silver broke it up allot. They were considered blems, but Iv been over them stem to stern, (i however dont have another set to compare to), but I cant figure out there decision...oh well, I aint arguing...lol
