when i shift into 3, 4, or 5 gear, the clutch wants to slip, then as the engine gains rpm, it will fully engage. when i went to adjust the screw, it was set about 1/4 turn to decrease past the resistance spot. could that have been the problem? i readjusted it, 1/4 turn clockwise from resistnace spot, but it is too late in the nite to test it. do most of the dx's do that, or was it just how the clutch was adjusted?
