I love seeing and hearing about barn finds. Today I found the best one I've came across. To make long short. I drove 10 hr round trip to buy a bunch of liquid r parts NOS low pro fender, NOS forks, short track kit and much more. Ended up leaving with all of it and a 87 tecate race bike. After I bought it guy even found the old school Hoosier front tire on rim. Some of this stuff will be for sale. More to come later when I'm home here's some pics for not ENJOY!!!!

The tecate has all oem shrouds, headlight, and for fender. All the hard to find stuff is there. Mint oem grab bar, mint coolant bottle full wiring harness. All the 87 unique parts are there. Its missing the headlight switch, and right now has a kdx motor in it so somebody cut the crf pipe up. Also has a Paul turner silencer. I have the original motor. Its for all new bearings , clutches, and rebuilt crank, just needs cleaned up and assembled and a new piston. What kind of hubs are these? They look like Honda bolt pattern.

Hubs look like 84 Tecate. correct, which also means it's an after market axle.

Cool! Knowledge is bliss. What bolt pattern is that? They are Mitchell wheels. I got two other sets of Mitchell wheels too but they are Honda pattern

If you get a chance could you measure the hoosier tire and see if its a 10 or 11" wheel? I always assumed the two i have were 11" but i measured them over the winter and found out i was wrong. Idk if they even made the tri trac front in 11" now. Nice score on everything, hope you didnt have to give up your first born

So, I'm still going though it all. The front wheel is a 10". I put the coolant bottle off the tecate on ebay last night, as I have no use for something oem that could bring decent money when John makes is fine repos. Also listed the nos atc250r forks and my alt125.

It's bizarre how all of this went down. The guy new a little bit about ebay and what not, but was about 10-15 years behind in technology and internet. He did know what his stuff was worth, just didn't care to try and separate any of it. Probably why his Craigslist ad was so vague. He had the matching tires to the front Hoosier but lost them in a barn fire, the front was in the same fire, but only got a little heat damage on one side of the tread.

Here's some more pic all clean!

This is quite the adventure. When you have it all back together and running, you will have a pretty cool story to tell.
