Wow man, nice work. How did you extend that swingarm? I cant even find time to put gas in mine and run it around the yard with the kids. I still haven't put on that headlight guard yet, lol. Was good meeting up with you and keep us posted on the progress.

I have been looking to upgrade the suspension and front end this summer on mine. What's easier to put on a 225, a tri-z or 350x front end? I've seen lots of yamaha front ends but never a Honda.

What did you use to extend the shaft on the inside? Any plans to extend the axel? I got some 4x115 hubs and IMS rims and I plan on getting some spacers. Wanna see what you plan on doing.

Keep us updated with final pics.

i cut the neck from a 200x and welded it to the ytm225,that was pretty easy.the swingarm was a little harder to do.it took me a couple of days to figure out the best way to extend it.to get 4 inches on the shaft i just welded a u joint to the existing one.for the axle i have extended hubs.was thinking about using a older yfm350 rear end,it has a beefier axle and it may be a little wider.

How did you reinforce the swingarm where it is extended? Just asking because the last one of these i saw here broke at the weld where the tube was extended. If you plan to run your shock at the center brace there, its going to put a LOT of leverage and stress on everything behind that point....

Do you know of any rear ends that will bolt on with little modification? I can bottom mine out pretty easy and I only weigh like 130. I've destroyed battery boxes and air boxes from it hitting the swinger. So I'm looking into upgrading but I'm pretty novice in custom work (as in I don't own a welder so I'll have to ask my friends for assistance). Plus the mechanical disc brakes suck. So a new front end and rear with hydros will be a plus.

Thanks for the input.

i meant to say i welded two complete cross joints together.all the extended swingarms i do are sleeved, for the shock i plan on using the stock shock locations.ghost,i dont know of any complete rear ends that would swap out without cutting and welding.i have an extra frame im going to try to put a yfm350 rear on it and maybe motor also, but that'll be a later project.
