I am new here..... thought I would share my progrees so far. Let me know what you think?

1) powdercoated the frame
2) all new bolts
3) 2 stage clear on tank
4) Krylon trim plastic
5) PRM Baja grab bar
6) Tag bars
7)Scotts grips

Waiting to install

Custom Hi-flite flamed seat cover (Black with silver flames)
New maijer black body
Full DG exhaust
PRM skid plate
Powder coat the swing arm and hubs
Some Sandblasting
Engine will be last (I will be asking a million questions for mods)
Rework rear brakes

:shock: Thats freaking awesome!I don't think I have seen an all black 250r.It should be really cool.Keep us posted. Oh yeah welcome.I think you'll like it here.

Thanks for the positive comments. I have been lurking around here for the last year and just started slowly working on my child hood trike.

wow, you and i are doing the same thing R6XTERRA. i am well under way w/ a 83 black "r" project.
oops ,,, forgot my manners ,,, welcome aboard.
sevral of us from 3WWW are doing air cooled "r" projects now also.
yeah,,, looking good ( no matter what trikeaholic is gonna say - lol)

Will do guys..thanks for the positive comments. I hope it looks sharp. I should have the front forks polished and installed this weekend. I have about an hour or so to go on them.

I am also going to do some sandblasting on the seat hardware as well. I should have my body and flamed seat cover this week.

I am fixing to get started on my 83' r . I would be interested to see pictures of others projects for some ideas. I couldn't figure out how to view them from the board. Maybe you can email them to me at cprice@apollo.chapel1.com . I would also be interested in suppliers that you have dealt with that carry a good selection for 83 r's. Any help is appreciated ! I have a little bit of info if it might be useful for some others as well. I may interested in a reasonably priced 83 frame, the 83 r motor was mounted on on 82 frame so I have some parts left from the teardown if someone might need something from an 82.

Well I am sorry I an going to have to be negative here LOL ;) Where are those pics!!!! LOL Sounds like a killer build up and I got to see the pics.
