I have this guy trying to sell me what he says is a 1987 kawasaki 250 lt 3 wheeler. I think he must mean klt..He says it was all red til someone painted it camo colors. Has electric start which is broken and has all the front and back racks. He mentioned it has no reverse and a diff lock in the back..The only problem is he is 4 hours away and cant send pictures. Does anyone have a picture or own a 1987 and have any information on them..It probably is a money pit and i should keep saving up for a big red..Any thoughts?

Hello;
I actually a lot of Rand D on those when I was at Kawi so hopefully if others don't have much info I might have some.
Manual clutch, 5 speed, engine balancer, single or locker rear end, anti vibration foot pegs [I kid you not, lol] speedometer.
They will pull a 7000 lb box van on a flat surface.
You must put a handle bar type crash pad on the rear rack or it will smack your tail bone if you ride it hard.
Extremely waterproof.
Will almost float in water.
Very durable if properly maintained.
The CDI boxes NEVER fail. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing013.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)
82 thru 83 - KLT250
83 thru 85 - KLT250 prairie
Not produced after 85 that I know of.
The KLT250, from the most reliable series of 4 stroke 3 wheelers ever made.
I think I just got a hernia.

KLT250 Duckster, don't walk away from it in the woods, you'll never find it again.
