I have a 1983 200 atc with a blown motor.. im able to get my hands on a 85 200M.. will it swap right into the 83?

bump, anybody? they both don't have reverse, they are both 200's

Yes it will mount in pretty easily the only problem is the electric starter. You will have to notch or bend the frame to accommodate the starter. butif you can do this you shouldn't have any problems and you gained electric start.

where would you keep the battery and so on?

They made a battery mounting braket hondaline they have them on ebay sometimes. now as for the frame I don't really know.

The top ends interchange aswell, then you don't need to mess with the frame.
