I gave up on trying to find a stabilizer damper for a atc, so I made my own. Bought a used WER dirtbike one, made a plate and this is what I am at. How well do you guys think this is gonna turn out.

this a 85 350x triple tree. On the trike its gonna go on has 85 350x triple and 83/84 atc250r front end. If this works out, I will buy another and it will go on my custom framed atc250r w/ ktm 105sx forks on custom triples. It should be far easier to do it on that front end.

That is very interesting looking. I've been jealous of the Tecate guys that had that RAM fluid/taper splined dampener system that went in the head tube around the steering stem for years and wished something like that was available on the Hondas. But you're on a good path there and I think it'll work, you might need to make it a bit more rigid after using it for a while, but let us know!

It's much more rigid mount than it looks. There is 4 places it bolts to whatever dirt bike it was made to fit. 2 of those mounts line up with the fender mount on the 350 X triple. The other 2 are bolted to plate and drill another to make more solid mount

I was told there might be interest in making them if there was enough interest and a donor model to use to make and test fit on. I have a 85/86 250 r frame and triples and he isn't too far from me. If so, my 200 X could be used also. After I get it done, will send him pics of it and tell him if there is a market for it

more pics of it. Now just to get carb to stop leaking and its ready to go. I might re-make it later on. I will make it from thicker steel and put a fender stabilizer integrated in it. I had to remove the fender stabilizer. Next my 250r trike is gonna get one.

I want to also. I know with the dirtbikes and quads when they shine is rough stuff and most noticablely when you start to get tired. One of my dirtbikes doesn't allows have one on it and when I ride it, toward the end, I feel every little tree root, small log, tree knots and trail junk. When that starts to happen, that is when the bark busters start bouncing off trees and you start to fall
