Need a 81-82 185s Measurement

Will someone, who has an 81-82 185s with solid front suspension, measure the distance from the axle to the bar that goes across above the tire? That would help me out.

Measured from centre of axle with tape then following the curve of the leg, I make it 17 1/2 inches to centre of that fork bar. Not actually that easy to measure on an assembled bike, could be out a 1/4 either way.
