They dont bend like plastic. They break. I wouldnt recommend them for trail riding unless they were pretty heavy duty.

Honda 90's and 110's ran glass fenders for years, they crack but you can fix them. Plastic flexes and leaves a stressed light spot or it breaks and snaps and the only thing you can do is get a new set. I was going to have 83-84 low pro R fenders done in glass and no one wanted them every one wanted plastic, that was not going to happen $$$ wise. There is a guy in MN already making some fiberglass ATC parts, I got some stuff from him and they were great, nice color gel and fit nice. I would run glass fenders if they were available for what I needed.

I just got a set of the hand laid SX fenders off eBay a week ago for far less than plastics. They seem durable. I haven't mounted them yet. They are gel coat white. Came from Texas. I saw the guy selling fiberglass in MN a couple years ago. But haven't since then.

I have a set on one of my 70's. They are realy nice. The guy dissapeared off ebay since then or I would buy a few more sets for my other 70's.

Been watching them as well, with them being fiberglass I assume they can be painted and would hold the paint better than plastic?

They'd be nice for a vinyl wrap
