Have ya'll ever run into any front end alignment problems on your trikes

I have an 85 200s that I just put front brakes on and now that it's all put back together, It pulls hard to the right. I had it broken down all the way to the triple tree. I had the forks/slider tubes removed. I changed the oil in my forks, put on new boots and put on front brake shoes.

I am having a problem with my brakes but I've taken my cable completely out and they're not engaged at all so I don't think they're rubbing. I think I've got my slider tubes fully seated and I've put the mounting bolts back in so I don't think I can have a problem in that aspect.

Kinda at a loss. could it be bearings? Any ideas?

Well if you just replaced your brakes and they are not working, I would say that you did not take all of the slack out of the cable before tightening down the bolts that hold either end, or that the cam that opens up the shoes needs to be adjusted so that at rest, the shoes are open a little bit. This reduces the travel distance for the shoes, because the cable pull is limited. If it is hard to turn, check to make sure that the axle was mounted to the correct side of the forks, and the tire pressure is correct all around.

Thanks for suggestions,

The problem with the brakes was my front cable is so gummed up that neither the caliper spring or cable spring was strong enough to disengage the brakes. That's why I said I pulled my cable off. I believe the shoes are totally disengaged right now but it's still pulling.

Sorry I guess I mis-read what you wrote about the brakes. I thought you were having a problem with them as well. I would check the rear tire pressure. If the bike is leaning, that will make it hard to turn. Seems like a no-brainer, but it has happened to me. I had a tire with a slow leak.

Another thought is if you took the triple tree off and when installing it, tightened down too much on the stem bearings, that would make it hard to turn.

my 83 R did the same thing. The wheel was not straight. I loosend the fork tube (put bike on stand) and twisted the fork in the triple clamp, until the wheel was straight again.I guess that the fork tube was slightly bent, so it made the wheel cock to one side. do one fork at a time, and it may be corrected. Know what I mean??
