Finally got my yeti rebuilt/back together this year. Did Some hill climbing/trail packing with a friend on the weekend you can go anywhere with these setups.

My friend and I built our own version on the yeti, but used two skidoo safari tunnels and a Yamaha maxim 650 motorcycle. it's a lot heavier than mine but way more powerful, only problem is there is no reverse, so if he get's in a situation he has a winch.

That is so cool. How's the speed? What's your top gear? Are there parts available or did you have to fab a lot of parts? Sounds like you're from the Tweed area?

That was probably someone else, the yeti kit was made in Quebec by a company called equipment L inc. in the 80's . There are a lot more yeti track kits in Quebes than Ontario

My top speed is around 50-60 km/h not sure exactly, probably goes as fast as a regular big red with wheels in fourth wot down the road.
(i'd love to find a trx 300 motor and convert into a big red for more power with the tracks)

My friend's homemade groomer goes about the same speed but gets there a lot faster.

-when I bought the track kit it was in working order and lasted a whole season but needed major repair (sprockets, sliders, track clips tensioners etc.

The tracks are the same as an elan, it uses skidoo cogs and sliders. the sprockets I just ordered custom but use 50 farm chain. I did have to make my own track tensioners.
As far as I know the company that made them no longer exists.

Tweed is about an hour and a half from me. i'm located in Seeley's Bay On it's on hwy 15 between Kingston and Smith Falls

As far as the motorcycle powered groomer goes it took a lot of fabbing/ customizing. this is it's first winter and so far so good
