Nice score! Those OHTSU''s are hard to find these days! I actually know where to find 4 of those tires BRAND NEW for about 75.00 each. If someone would throw me a sweet deal on a NOS OHTSU P/V 23.5x8-11 for the 86-87 200X/350X never mounted, I will give out my info on these tires. OKSTATE, I think I know what your surprise is and they are rare :naughty:

Finding NOS Ohtsus for the 85-87 Big Red just comes down to pure luck really. Or maybe having purchased them way back when and just have them setting around. I found a guy that had a set from a little while back and he was willing to sell. I had been looking for a few months, most people on here that have a set probably don't want to part with them. About 3 months ago, i had another lead on what sounded like a sweet deal....some Shriners had used Big Reds for their parades and whatnot, and the old guy told me that they kept a warehouse full of tires for them. Apparently all their machines had to look exactly alike right down to the tires. I was about to go insane. That was until I realized what he was Talking about....TRAIL PROS. He was thinking those were the stock tires I guess. Jeezuz....I was pissed. I thought I was gonna buy enough damn Ohtsu 501s that I could ride for years and just beat the hell out of a set and keep rollin. Nope. TRAIL PROS.

Oh man, what a bait and switch, and he didn't even know the drama he caused.

Unless I'm missing something, our shop is sitting on 2, maybe 3 of these I think. I'll check tomorrow. I thought there still available for order. I priced a set for my Big Red when I got it. Unless it's just the pattern on a different brand, it's been a while since I looked at the ones we have. I know for sure there that pattern but not sure if there Ohtsu or different manufacturer.

All the OHTSU's are discontinued with the exception of the 450R/88 89 TRX250R OHTSU's but they may see the same fate soon. I knew where 4 of the ATC250ES tires where but I gave that info out to a member already, some were disc just recently. I hope some company repros at least the more popular tires ,KT576 etc, that would be sweet!
