hi guys i now have 600 dollars and am on the hunt for something to ride. i have been riding all my life. but i am short on cash now and want something to ride. i am big guy at 6 foot and 200 pounds. i want a bike in my price range that has some pep and good handling characteristics at high speed and on pavement. i love the way a motorcycle has the hard hit when you switch gears and want that out of a trike. Is the 200x for me?

Well sounds like you are right at the 200x price wise. Personally a 350x would be much more to your liking but unfortunately you need much money to get one. I am 6'3 and 230lbs and the 200x just didnt have the power I wanted. The 350x on the other hand just rocks. But not to say you couldnt have a blast for a 200x and start saving money for a 350x later on..............peace

Jakey, I dont think you'll want to ride any ATC on pavement, the handling is tricky.

If you like the hard hit you get from a dirtbike, either get a 350x (torque monster), or a 250 2 stroke, I dont think you will be happy on a 200x, but it is better than nothing.

yea, i wouldnt buy a 200x, i would definately go for something like a tecate, 250R, or a tri-z, whatever you can find in your price range, you would like a 250 2-strokejust wait untill the right price comes along and snipe it up, look on ebay alot, and put in something for one in the classifieds with a wanting to buy post, youll be ridin in no time 8)

i have had my 86 200x for 3 years now , I also am 6ft. plus at like 200lbs. I ride a 99 cr250, 90 dr350 ,and have rode many 350x ,250r,tecate ect....I will admit top speed on the 200x is a bit lacking ,but I have no problem keeping with the bigger newer 4wheelers!!!So yes i would get a 200x and have a ball, you should be able to find 1 quite reasonably priced. goodluck. I was actually faster on our hometown makeshift track on the 200x than my buddies 350x. (I cant hold that 350 wideopen around the turns ), the 200x was held open the whole way!!!! 8)

Im a die hard 2 stroke guy... but 200Xs are a lot of fun. I would really love to get one someday, but keep spending my money on other machines.

Ive never owned one, just putted around on other peoples, but Im telling you.. a good running 200X is a blast. Im 6'3" 180 and felt as comfortable on it, as I have on any other machine.
If you like nice easy wheelies, then this is the machine for you. Its really light up front and has a nice balance feel to it. Its not the fastest machine out there, but hey.. its a 4 stroke. Its not super slow either.
If your just an ordinary rider, that likes dirt, dunes, and just having fun riding, then yes,.. the 200X is for you.
350Xs are climbing in price, and 2 strokes are a blast, but you take a chance of getting a lemon that you gotta wrench on as much as you ride it.

Thats my 2 cents.. take it or leave it.
