The adjuster linkage for the stock carb just slides into the top, and a c-clip holds it in place. The flat-side carb requires you to screw the adjuster in the top. How do I make this work? It seems as though I'll need to change cables or adjusters or something. Someone please help!

Try those little adjusters on the end of bmx/mountain bike brake levers, they work, but you will need to find the right size.

Goku, you may want to contact Mikuni or whoever built your carb and ask them about what throttle cable they recommend for the Z.

Actually guys I figured it out! :D I found a guy parting out a 'Zuki LT250R(where this carb came from), and I'm buying the little screw-in piece, the locknut, and a cable for 10 bucks shipped. Can't beat that with a stick.

If that cable doesn't work goku, I have a cable off a mid 90's kx, that had a flatslide keihin on it. You can have it if you want it, for a couple bucks shipping.
