I decided to re-build the 200x for the wife to ride. It got put back together, rebuilt swingarm, 83/84 250r extended axle, lsr 400ex hubs, rebuilt 83/84 250r front end, some kind of different shock in the back nearly 8" of travel, modded a 83/84 250r rear caliper to work, new clutch(I hate how the clutch is setup in those motors), plastic put back on, modded sprocket and sprocket bolts to be more secure(honda must not have though too much when they designed how the sprocket attaches), had to grind some off and bevel carrier to fit re-worked sprocket bolts. Next step is new fuel line, oil, bleed brakes, get the correct type of nuts for sprocket bolts(oem honda crank nut for 85-89 250r) and get her going. When its all done, next time we go to speedciti in delaware, I will ride atc250r and hybrid quad and she will take a riding course.

I need a new shifter, it has a shifter from a 350x and is too long. Other than that, air filter(ordered), it is ready to go. All back together, starts easy.

did more on it, dual gasser(twist and thumb), adjusted decompression, removed headlight switch, made wire harness to use kx kill and tether cord and ordered shifter(was told 83-85 one works). A tail light is in order, for safety of person whom will be riding it most. Gotta wait for everything to be in to be 100% ready.

just ordered a tail/brake light, now I need brake sensors,

It is nearly done. Just need air filter now and good rear tires and is ready to go. I am going to have pro-peg nerfs put on it. My next trike is gonna be based off a ktm 200xc. Already got a frame, now get the complete dirtbike and create a trike out of it. Figuring on using everything off it as possible. It is gonna have ktm quad rear fender and seat and it. It will end up looking like ktm factory trike, inverted forks and all. This build I am getting excited about and very much looking forward to do.

Help me with the "crank nut" from a TRX250R. It is a bolt, not a 16mmLH threaded nut?? this is discontinued so many of us would like to know if you found one or what this post means. The clutch basket on that quad was 18mm. Unsure if LH or RH. I'm confused but a solution would be mint!!
Thank you :D

I used the om 83/84 sprocket bolt, drilled out threads in sprocket, used Die on sprocket bolts to make more threads. Pushed bolts in, put nuts and green lock time on them. The nuts are 12mm1.25 they are oem nuts that are used to tighten flywheel on crank on a 85-89 250r

its nearly done, installed dirtbike sterring stabilazer, sprocket guard/skid plate, trx250r rear brake mount and caliper. Next step is machine down rear rotor to make rotor smaller and allow caliper to have full contact with pads. I will be using a 83/84 250r brake hub and rotor, have rotor machined ~3/4" diameter off and re-install. Right now caliper is not full on rotor and is spaced out ~1/2. Since 83/84 R rotor is closer to swingarm, I should have to space it out at all. Now question is, what can I use to improve the front brake?? I have a cr master and steel braided line. The caliper is stock 86 200x mounted on 83/84 R forks. Also put a LED tail light and future plans are wire in brake lights. I will also re-make the stabilzer mount to include the fender brace on it. Sometime later in the future, it will get a rebuilt/much better performing motor.

It actually is a worn sprocket that I ground down. My plan didn't work as wanted, turned out 83/84 sits further off than 86 200x. I did grind off 20 mm diameter from disc, same as 85-89 250r
