I've done a complete engine rebuild on one of these trikes along with pretty much restoring the rest of the bike. They are real easy to work on. Best thing you can do is get yourself a manual to start. Just ask if you have any questions. More later. Time for dinner!

try your local yamaha dealer,i got a factoy manual for my 350 x and when the looked it up for me they said it be two or three weeks because it was listed as (print per order) so i guess they made one just for me ;) i think it was only 40 or 50 bucks

any one know if the linkage bar should be bent ?

for the shifting problem, it should be a linkage type shifter, ive got a tri-moto 200E, and its linkage. there should be a tie-rod that connects the shift lever and the shift lobe that goes onto the shift pin. this tie rod should be adjustable with a few wrenches. and i find taking the rear fenders off opens up the whole trike to be worked on. you will have to take em off everytime you wanna do somethin to it, but it does keep the engine clean and in good shape. my carb is mint, not a fleck of dust or dirt on it, and not a single scratch. also, the driveline is very torquey. i found even the 200 four stroke had a lot of torque. so your 125 2 stroke will really put out. top speed is not much to be desired, but torque is excellent. tri-motos put out sheer power to the wheels, but they just dont have top speed. they are a fun little bike to rip around. hope this helps, peace out, tony.

Not sure what you mean by bushing. I don't recall ever seeing a bushing on the linkage system of one of these. It may not be stock. Usually it's the ball joint on the end of the shifter linkage that wears out. You can still get them from Yamaha for around $20. Make sure that the stop nut on the threaded end of the ball joint is snugged up. They often will loosen up some.
