Well, the trail that goes into the forest passes in my neighbour's driveway...So he decided to call the cops, to get everyone with a quad or a sled to get a warning to not pass there again... I got out of my driveway with my SX, i just wanted to ride 5 mins...just for fun...so the cop came, talked to me, and if i would do that again, i would have to pay 350 bucks!!! ARRRRGHHHHH!!! So by now, I can't ride anymore here...I'll have to get my trike in my dad's truck (I'm 16...hehe) and to go ride somewhere... damn I hate my neighbour!!

You should be grateful he is "warning" you not to go through his driveway.

Where you're passing through his driveway, is it near the road? You should check local laws about what easments they take for future road improvements. Where I live, The county takes some of your land. They own from the center of the road, and 15 feet back either way. Out here if you ride within that 15 feet, but you're off the road, you are on COUNTY LAND and nobody can stop me.

Out here I rode over this dudes driveway one time and he stopped me. He was like "I DONT WANT YOU RIDING ALL OVER MY DRIVEWAY AGAIN OR I'M CALLING THE COPS." I said , dude, I am riding on county property, there is nothing you can do to stop me from riding on it. So my way of getting back at him, is right before his house, I get off my bike, walk it on the road, and just rev the piss out of it. It's a loud mofo so I know he can hear it inside his house. 2 can play asshole, mr grump. Something I should have told him is I've lived here for 10 years, I rode on what is now his property before he even thinked of owning it. Heh heh

you didnt do it with "your" machine "your" machine is broke down and has been for however long about 4 or 5 days before it happened, it was your buddies "same bike as yours" that he brought in from out of state and let you ride...cops cant do a thing about it exept maybe the crim trespass IF your neighbor saw you

Find out local laws. You may be able to find a loophole that will still allow you to ride to the forest where you want to go.

i would try to get on his good side a little, maybe ask him for written permission and or sign a generic waiver for insurance purposes to allow you to walk your trike with the motor off across his property.
explain to him that only you will be crossing his property and if he agrees uphold your end of the bargain religiously.
yeah,it's kissing up,but better to try nice than having him make your riding time miserable.
maybe explain to him that this is your way to relax, and show him that your responsible, and that your not like the other guys who maybe wild.
you may find that in time this nieghbor may warm up to you,and he might be the eyes and ears needed if some p.o.s ever comes on your property to steal tour trike, let him know that you will be a good neighbor and keep an eye out for his property too.
it can't hurt, and you got a better than 50% chance to come out in a win/win situation. good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah, you would be surprised what asking nicely can do,(not that I do that a lot), but I have gotten permission from some once thought "pricks", just by asking nicely. Use the word "sir", and just be polite and thank them afterwards, but if denied, just insert your favorite curse word, and flip them the bird. lol!

Thats what I was gonna say . Ask the guy . Find out his work scheduel and ask if you can ride while he isnt home . The issue here is more than likely the guy tries to get some shut eye and someone comes blarring by with a two stroke . See if you can ride on the weekends or even ask for his phone # so you can see if its cool . I know your upset but I can relate to the guy because theres this damn ice-cream truck that makes like 5 passes down my street a day . He stops in front of the my neighbors house directly across the street everytime . While he's stopped he NEVER turns off that damn music . I work 6pm to 6 am and he wakes me up several times daily . Just trying to give some insight . The guy might not be an A-hole if you just talk to him .

As a property owner, what would offend me most is people riding through my property without asking permission, and then having the attitude that they are "entitled" to use my property. Its that lack of respect for me as the property owner that would make me ban sombody from crossing it, and I have no doubt that I would, so I guess Im a prick too. If they came to me with the recognition that its MY property, and the realization that what they ask for is an imposition on me and that they are are not "entitled" to cross it, Id gladly give permission if they agreed to and followed my terms, which would be slowly and quietly across my driveway. Also, permission is not transferrable to all of their buddies. They would also need to come to me and ask.

If some kid tried to throw a legal loophole at me, or to pull some dirty tricks on me, Id prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law, and I could and would make his life a living hell. Also, once he pulled one of these "get even" stunts or displayed his attitude that he has a "right" to use my property, all the butt kissing in the world would never allow him to gain access in my lifetime.

How many of you people suggesting a pissing contest with the guy have ever started one and have the guy change his mind and give you access because of the nasty things youve done to him? You are the reason ATVers keep losing access to riding areas.

I'm a land owner as well. Nothing pisses me off more that someone who thinks it's their right to be on MY land, without asking permission. Not one person has ever come up to the house and asked permission to use/ride across my land, yet I keep catching people on my land.

I don't piss around anymore. I buy old used harrows whenever I can, then I go and lay them upsidedown all over the place. They sure do a lot of damage.

I agree with the permission idea. If someone steps foot on my Mom's land without permission, they better have a reason.
One night we were all sitting outside BS'ing when we noticed a Jeep Grand Cherokee going through everyones yard like it was a race. Well, he got to my Mom's yard, which was having a bunch of dirt and boulders moved around and started doing "donuts" right in front of us. Little did he know we were right there watching the whole thing. He must not have seen the 30" boulders when we busted out chasing after him, cause he hit everyone like he was playing the lottery. Not only that but, my brother ended up "giving" him a Dewalt flash light through his back window. :-D Needless to say, no one has bee on our property since then.

You're best bet is to become friends with the guy and treat him with the same respect you would your parents. When he starts giving you an attitude say,"Jumpin on the A-hole bandwagon huh? Thought that was full."

And don't touch his animals... I'd leave a BIG scar on your body if you did anything to mine.

On another note, Kasey, that's a 250R in your pic right? 85 or 86? Looks very nice...am I seeing a red extended swingarm?
