Whats the best way to start my 3 wheelers when they are cold and warm moters that are 2 and 4 stroke?

For my machine: in the winter, choke on, no throttle and it usually takes about 3 kicks.Once it's running, I let it idle with the choke on about 30 seconds then I take off slow. Once I get to about 3rd gear I take the choke off. Ride easy for about 5 min. til it's warm. I'm not one that believes in extended idling to warm a motor. It'll warm quicker if it's doing some work.
