Today I bought a 82 and a 85 atc70. The 85 is going to be for parts. It went thru a flood and the owner never drained the water so its locked up tight. The 82 needs forks, front axle and the frame. Which will be donated from the 85. I don't think I did to bad for only $250. I will post more pics and progress as I build it. This will be for my daughter so no big pit bike motor for this one. That's in the future tho. Thinking about using the extra parts from the 85 for that.

Where do I find the cdi conversion for these. I have searched here and Google and came up with nothing. If I could get a link that would be very cool.

Nice score man. I recently got 2 70's as well and have $225 in both of mine. So we both got good deals. You'll make one really nice bike out of those 2. Look forward to see what you do to them.

Thanks man. I have been looking for one foe about a year now. The last one I looked at was in about the same shape as the 82 and the guy wouldn't budge off 5 bills and he got it about a week later. They go for stupid money up here and don't pop up that often. So far I am thinking one of two routes. White plastics and tank with block frame and pink accents. Or pink plastics and tank with white frame and seat cover. Drivetrain will remain mostly stock other than sprockets and maybe the 88cc kit.

I hear ya there. Same deal for me as well. Last 70 that popped up near me was 2.5 hours away and he wanted 500 for it also. Wasn't that great of a deal for me to do the 5 hour round trip for. I also had been looking for about a year. I found both of mine about a week apart. I'm for sure restoring one to stock look. I am still In the air as to what to do with the other. Mine are both complete, so far 1 runs. Still tinkering to get the other one going.

There was a guy on Ebay selling them out of Malaysia but for some reason he doesn’t sell them via EBay anymore... He will sell them straight out of his shop though. I was able to get a hold of his email and I actually have one coming in the mail right now. It takes up to 21 days for the package to show up so I have a little over a week yet for it to show. We did the transaction via PayPal so that part was painless, they are $120 shipped. He will also sell you the stator plate crank seal and stator plate o-ring as you will need those parts as well unless you try and reuse your old ones. I think with added o-ring and crank seal it was $136 shipped. Let me see if he minds me posting his email on the site. I have only talked to him via email, he has been very helpful and seems like a good guy.
These guys have them for $165 + shipping and they come with a new stator plate o-ring and plate screws it says.

UPDATE^^^
Got an email back this morning, Here is his email: xrarespares@gmail.com
Keet Hooi is his first name or he goes by KH for short.
He says ATC 70 CDI kits will be available soon in his EBay store but they will be at a higher price... With that being said he will sell the remaining sets he has in his shop for $120, after those are sold he will start selling the CDI Kits at the higher price.
