Hey guys. I just picked up an 84 110. The tires on it are very dry rot and dont hold air surprise surprise. The tires on it are 25x12.00-9. I know the stock size is 22x11.00-8. A friend of mine gave me wheels and tires last night with the 22x11.00-8 on the rims but they dont bolt on. The space between stud holes is about 3 1/2 inches where on the other wheels that fit the trike it is more like 4 inches or a little over 4. What size is the rim that the 25x12.00-9 tires on them since I will have have use these wheels because they bolt on. And also looking for a best bang for the buck tire just to get it rolling. I dont want to keep the huge 25s but would rather be back in the 22 ball park. I have zero experience when it comes to knowledge on three wheeler rims and tires so I very much look forward to some help. Thank you

first thing to do is see what bolt pattern you have. there are a few reference guides. try this.

you probably have a 4x130. the wheels you picked up are possibly 4x110?? Do you know what they are from? you could probably get a cheap set of used hubs to swap that will fit your new wheels and tires (if they're worth it). most of the hubs interchange. you have a few options. where in MA you at?

I am in dracut ma 01826. The tires I just got are really not worth it. Will the stock tire size fit on this wheel? Every site I look at only lists the 22x11.00-8 as a tire choice. The wheels and tires I got last night came off a trike supposedly but I dont know which kind. All the know is that the rims that came with the trike fit perfect I just dont know what to do for tires. The wheels I got last night measure 9 inches across from lip to lip and the rims that came on it measure 10 inches across from lip to lip

Ok so I have the 4x130 bolt pattern on the wheels I have that came with the trike and it appears that the wheels I got last night came off of a early 110 and are 3 x100 or 3 x110. Can I put the 8inch tires on this wheel that came on the trike even tho it has a 9 on it right now? Ive only dealt with dirtbike tires before so im lost

You can not put 8 inch tires on a 9 inch rim. The sizes are listed in the order height width diameter. So if you have a 25x12x9, the tire is 25 inches tall, 12 inches wide,( the actually numbers will vary depending on model and brand) on a 9 inch wheel. A 22x11-8 is 22 tall, 11 wide, on an 8 inch rim.

From what you have posted so far, it sounds like your best bet is to find a set of 4x110mm HUBS that will swap to the 110, and use the 22x11-8s that are mounted on wheels already, if they are decent and I'm hearing you correctly.

Maybe someone here can suggest a 4x110 mm hub that fits the splines on your 110 trike.

according to the 1980 honda atc 100 manual they reccomend max tire pressure at 3 psi? does that make any sense, they seem to be better inflated around 10-15 psi. any thoughts?

Yes, the lower pressure the smother the ride will be, = less back pain, lower pressure will also give you better traction. Depending on the hardness of the tire I run from 1 to 3 psi, and I defiantly recommend it

thanks for the tip bud, i have a slow leak in one of my tires and kept filling them up to 15 psi thinking that was ok but once i figure out the leak situation i will only put 3-4 in them take it for a ride and see how i like it
