Head Gasket going?

I've found oil around my head gasket on my '86 200x. I'd like to make one more ride before I do a top end job on it. Will I be safe riding it one more weekend? What will happen if it goes?

yes you will be fine i road my x all summer when it had a small leak at the head gasket just keep checking your oil and make sure you dont looz to much

you can ride as long as you dont mind risking having to buy a new piston, maybe its different with 4 strokes, but on my old R it had a head gasket leak, and i was in the middle of the woods, on the way home the engine leaned right out cuz of the leak and burnt my piston to hell...had a nice time of pushing the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro home.

yeah being his trike is 4 stroke and not liquid cooled he will be fine just as long as its a small leak like its just wet around the area but if it spewing out then id park it till you rebuild it but any who 4 stroke wise a small leak is fine it wont cause any damage atleast it never did for me.
like i said i mean small leak like a little wet spot. lol if its spewing out then park it! :twisted:
