Well we all know the Tiger factory doesn't exist anymore and the company went the way of the Dodo. But has anyone ever been able to locate some production numbers or specific records from the company? I am really curious to see what number of each model was produced?

Like everyone on here, I dream of finding a tiger (a Tiger 500 as long as I am fantasizing...) in a barn somewhere and the owner has no idea what it is, just sees an old bike that is worth a couple hundred bucks.

But I'd like to know my odds  So anyone with any numbers is welcome to chime in. I know we have a few Tiger experts on the boards!

if i remember correctly no one really can come up with production #'s. the website listed above is probably as close as your gonna get. and i know for sure that those #'s are not recently updated.

not pushing you on the search feature but if you try to search for OC250r's post's you may find something more accurate. he has posted alot of tiger info over the yrs as he bought a collection that included what was left from the factory.

if your looking for a tiger, they ARE out there. you just need to know what your looking at and have a pile of cash in hand when you find it.

a new member recently posted in regards to a tiger he owned and raced, still had it. he joined the new member forum and got ran off by a bunch of fella's claiming BS and X owner.

turns out, not only did that dude have the tiger for real, he really raced it back in the day, and it was one of the more rare " wide tire front end" machines. it is now owned by a serious collector and will be very well taken care of.

I ended up reading all the info earlier on the tiger site and just had one question, is there anything Micky Dunlop didn't do?

I raced a lot in the mid 80's and seldom saw a Tiger. They were never prevalent in the pits. My conjecture based on my observations was there might have been a 1000 or so units per model. They were kind of like Cagivia's and expensive. But, they were "ready-bought races." I recall seeing maybe a handful of Tigers and Cagivias run in NYS around 85-86. Believe it or not, Tri-Z's seemed about as rare at the races.
